RDM stands behind every product we sell. This warranty covers manufacturing defects on RDM hardware for 12 months from the date of delivery.
Your statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. The 12-month warranty below is in addition to those rights, not in place of them. You may also be entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair under the ACL for major failures regardless of how much time has passed.
Warranty period
12 months from the date of delivery.
What is covered
- Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
- Display screen defects (dead pixels exceeding 1% of total, persistent flicker, non-functional touch)
- Internal electronic component failures under normal use
- Firmware faults that prevent the unit from operating as advertised
What is NOT covered
- Damage from improper installation, incorrect wiring, or reverse polarity
- Physical damage including drops, impact, or pressure damage
- Water, fuel, or oil damage (these units are not rated for full immersion)
- Damage from exceeding rated input voltage
- Modifications, opening the unit, or tampering with internal components
- Wear and tear including scratches on display surfaces
- Damage from using non-RDM wiring harnesses or third-party accessories not approved by RDM
- Damage caused by vehicle electrical faults (alternator surge, battery faults, etc.)
How to claim
Email info@realtimedatamonitoring.com.au with:
- Order number and proof of purchase
- Description of the issue
- Photos or video showing the fault
- Installation details (vehicle, ECU, harness used)
We will respond within 3 business days. If the warranty claim is approved:
- We provide a return shipping address and method
- We cover return shipping for valid warranty claims
- We inspect, then repair, replace, or refund at our discretion
- Repair or replacement units come with the remainder of the original warranty period (or 90 days, whichever is greater)
Out-of-warranty repairs
If your unit fails outside the warranty period, contact us — we offer paid repairs where possible.
