Realtime Data Monitoring is an Australian technology company that started with a simple question: why are quality aftermarket ECU displays so expensive?

Founded by Tommy Rosato, an automotive enthusiast who wanted real-time access to his engine parameters while driving, RDM began as a garage project that solved a genuine problem. While other solutions existed, they were either prohibitively expensive or overcomplicated for most enthusiasts. Tommy set out to create something different—a high-quality display that serious drivers could actually afford.

Alongside Tommy is James Dawson, co-founder of RDM and a long-time friend who has been building and modifying cars with him for over a decade. James brought extensive experience in 3D design and 3D printing to the project, playing a key role in developing the physical design, packaging, and mounting solutions for the RDM-7. From early prototypes to production-ready components, his hands-on approach helped turn the concept into a robust, real-world product.

What began as a personal solution quickly caught the attention of fellow enthusiasts, tuners, and motorsport competitors who recognized they needed the same thing: a purpose-built display that could keep up with high-performance engines and harsh environments.
