A Digital Dash for Your Ford Falcon, BA, BF and FG

The RDM-7 has a built-in factory bus preset for the Ford Falcon BA, BF and FG. No standalone ECU needed — the car already puts what a dash wants on CAN, and the dash reads it.

Straight answer on where this stands

The dash side is done. The loom side is not.

The preset is in the firmware and works. What does not exist yet is an RDM adaptor loom for a Falcon, and we have not confirmed which Falcons one would physically fit. So right now this is a dash you can run on a Falcon if you are comfortable making the connection yourself, and not yet a plug-and-play kit.

FG-X is deliberately not claimed. It may well work. We have not checked, so we are not saying it does.

If you are running a Falcon and want a loom, say so. It is the sort of thing we build when enough people ask, and knowing which model you have is what tells us where to start.

What you need today

The dash, and a way to get its lead to your CAN bus. The RDM-7 ships with a 30 cm harness and a 2 m lead terminated in Deutsch DTM-4 at one end and bare CAN, power and ground at the other, so the wiring is four connections rather than a loom you have to source.

What the install takes

12 V switched ignition, chassis ground, CAN High, CAN Low. Fuse the 12 V at 2 A. The plug is an eight-way push-in terminal block with release tabs — strip, push, done. No crimping and no special tool.

What you get

800x480 IPS touchscreen, around 50 fps, under 20 ms from bus to screen. Up to 128 CAN channels. Logging to microSD at 1 to 200 Hz in CSV. Build your layout in a browser tab on your phone, over the dash's own Wi-Fi. Free firmware updates, no licence, no subscription.

Display, logging and CAN transmit only. The RDM-7 does not tune your car.
